Adam James Cooper’s Little Monsters

Recall the worst nightmare you ever had. Now imagine that when you woke up, the nightmare followed you into the real world and chased you around for 10 minutes. This is a night terror.

Night terrors have been an unpleasant feature of the Cooper family nightfall for generations. From sinking ships and scuba-diving accidents, to apocalypse scenarios and evil livestock; the list of harrowing illusions is extensive.

Adam James Cooper is the latest family-member to experience these nocturnal misadventures and he has been inspired to capture his personal recurring monsters using music.

Little Monsters is now a 4-track CD recorded at blank studios. Each song takes you on a different adventure from being chased up a paradoxically unending Penrose staircase by some monstrosity straight out of “The Descent” to being eaten by a giant Ent.

Featuring illustrations and animations by animator Matthew Cooper, the project is supported by 7 of the regions finest musicians and fuses rootsy folk instrumentation with Latin rhythms to produce a truly unique sound.
