In the past few weeks we've had a few reports from people who have received spam that contains links to our website.

These spam emails did not come from us, they have all been sent by people who have nothing to do with us, using email systems elsewhere on the internet. There is nothing that we can do to stop those messages being sent.

Our website allows anyone to sign up and submit content, so that the volunteers who run the cinema can add information about events. Unfortunately this also allows people with malicious intent to add content.

Some time in the last few weeks some spammers signed up on the site and added content advertising their products for sale. The pages that they added have now been removed, and we have altered the way the site works to prevent this happening again. The spammers still appear to be sending messages containing links to the pages they added.
