When a cowboy film wraps early after the death of an actor on set the unit-wrangler, Kansas, stays on in the unspoilt Peruvian village. But soon the local priest tells him the locals are re-enacting scenes from the film, killing for real.

Hopper was given creative carte blanche after the success of Easy Rider but this troubled shoot had an even more troubled edit, which ran on through multiple versions for years. Eventually being withdrawn completely by the director and never getting a proper theatrical release, this film has never been screened in the UK.
