APOLOGIES THIS EVENT WILL NOT BE TAKING PLACE. PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR THE ALTERNATIVE. MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW... The ultimate in our Woody-Allen-Made-a-Stinker season. Matchpoint is Woody’s favourite film (of his own) – but then apparently he doesn’t watch his films once they’re released so how would he know. (These facts are from IMDB.com so they must be true!) Perhaps it’s a bit cruel to show it with a live commentary from hosts of the Bad Film Club. Let’s hope he has a sense of humour.

Crime, drama and romance!  That's how Match Point is described.  A former tennis pro falls for a femme fatal and what-a-mistake-a-to-make-a (for all involved!)

This film was so unfavourably received by British audiences.  But with live commentary from the Bad Film Club, it will be redeemed or at least be offered up as comically bad….

Unfortunately, the distributor has declined to send us the film as, 'we [the distributor] agree in the contract we have with our Sales Agents, to apply due care in ensuring films will be exhibited in cinemas in a positive manor.'

The distributor does not feel that this is the case with Match Point at the Star and Shadow.  Shame.

A replacement will be arranged and we will let you know as soon as we do!
