The citizens of Everytown are faced with having to rebuild society after a crippling WWII that lasts 30 years. Political and social upheaval of an utterly feasible and vaguely prophetic nature turn into extra-terrestrial fantasy of the most imaginative and expansive kind. And the special effects are brilliant.
