This is a unique opportunity to see the films of Sarah Pucill, London-based artist. Her films address issues of subjectivity, lesbian sexuality, death and mourning, and the connection to the mother, as well as the materiality of film. She will be present tonight to discuss her work.
This is a retrospective screening of the short films of Sarah Pucill, a London-based filmmaker, who will attend the screening to introduce and discuss her work with Brighid Mulley.

Her films address issues of subjectivity, lesbian sexuality, death and mourning, and the connection to the mother, as well as the materiality of film. All her films are shot on 16mm film, in both black and white and colour, and four of her most recent films will be screened in their original format.
 

This is a unique opportunity to see this work outside London. Her most recent film, Blind Light, premiered at the Old Lumiere Cinema in London on 30th January 2008 and will be shown at the Star and Shadow tonight.
