Recyke y'Bike presents the 3rd Newcastle Bicycle Film Festival to celebrate its 5th Birthday

Join the Mass ride or the Alleycat treasure Hunt at Haymarket at 5.30 and finish at Star and Shadow

Plenty parking at the Star & Shadow.

Help Recyke y'Bike celebrate its 5th Birthday from 6.30pm - midnight.

Food, Stalls, Films, Bar, Music & Dancing

Tickets £4 available from Recyke y'Bike, NewcastleCycle Campaign ( NewCycling)

Asylum seekers free entrance.

Donations for Bikes2Africa very welcome.

6.30 Re-Cycle - Bikes to Africa. Each year Recyke y'Bike has sent hundreds of bikes to projects with Re-Cycle

7.00 Bristol Bike Project - working with Asylum Seekers. For the past 5 years RyB has donated bikes to local asylum seekers

7.30 Beauty and The Bike - followed by discussion with the directors Followed by DJ and music and dancing, DVD Klunkerz and many others

Monster Alley Cat
Alley cats are like treasure hunts on wheels. In keeping with the time of year this one has a monster theme. Face paints and fake blood at the ready people.

6:30pm

Meet at  Haymarket Metro Station Free… for the fun loving cyclist. Prizes for most monstrously
dressed!
We take over the Star & Shadow for the night, for the official opening of “Bike Film Festival 2011” :

 

  • Short films including ‘Re-Cycle Africa’ films
  • Licensed Bar
  • Hot food on sale
  • Numerous stalls from our partner organisations

A chance to meet the staff and volunteers at Recyke Y’Bike.Bike maintenance demo followed by‘Scrap Heap challenge’.

Led Local Bike ride (sign up on the day)
Lots of stands from our partners and sponsors
and prizes in our Tombola.Bacon sandwiches, drinks & cakes are available to buy.

WATBike Cycle Ride
Take in the sights from your saddle on this led bike ride from Wylam to Newcastle.
Must be pre-booked through

outside the
old Fire Station
on Pilgrim Street
£10 per person (includes transport for you and your bike to Wylam).All proceeds go to ‘Bikes 2 Africa’.

Must be pre-booked through WATBike, or from Tyneside Cinema Box Office. The morning’s riders have priority.
