A full night of film, poetry and music with a Latino/Scottish feel

Projection of Ropemakers by Prue Waller which looks at work in Chatham Dockyard. Memories and drama
reconstruction draw one back through time. The story is told by ex-dockyardmen and women. It is a lyrical film.

Ellen Phetean

Poetry, writer and sound artist. Ellen runs the small press Diamond Twig. Her book Wall, about Byker Wall was published by Smoke Stack Books this year.

Tim Dalling

Singer, accordionist, clown and songwriter. Tim is based in Newcastle and is a minor local legend. As well as making his own record, Blossom, and being part of the Old and New Rope band, Tim has collaborated with Julia Darling on the CD Rendezvous. www.timdalling.co.uk

Fran Pérez (Narf)

Fran Pérez is a Galician (north west of Spain) guitar player and songwriter. He regularly tours in Cuba, Brazil, Mozambique, Cabo Verde, Spain and Portugal collaborating with local musicians and gathering influences for his magic performances. In Sweden in 2006 he was awarded second prize at the Liet LavIut International Festival for singers from minority languages. He sings in Galician-Portuguese as well as some songs in African languages. www.myspace.com/uknarf
