This powerful film was made by Chai Jing, a former China Central Television journalist.

It has been referred to as 'China's "An Inconvenient Truth"', and has been compared to Rachel Carsens "Silent Spring".

Released on 28th Feb 2015, it was viewed over 300 million times in just 7 days before being taken down by the Chinese government on 7th March.

The film is narrated by Chai herself, who presents the results of her year-long research mostly in the form of a lecture, with footage from around China and interviews with officials, business owners and local people.
