'The Dacres Take You Away with the Fairies!' tales that have grown with us over the years.  They are evidence of encounters with other worlds, sometimes terrifying, sometimes helpful, always disturbing and mind-bendingly strange. Some of the stories link the Dacres with the North, while others are rooted on Dartmoor, upon whose bleak uplands we lived for a time.
