Please come join Omar Ismail & Jay Scanlan-Oumow for the Newcastle Premiere of their BFI selected London Film Festival 2025 short film at the Star and Shadow Cinema. The film charts the intersection of Omar's personal struggle and political conflict as a Palestinian living in the UK, while witnessing and resisting the Genocide of his people in Gaza. Separated from a culture and a way of life, this film portrays Omar's journey from a feeling of disconnect to a sense of belonging, community, and celebrated identity. It captures the power of the human spirit in the face of adversity, offering hope, challenging narratives, and inspiring solidarity.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with co-Directors Omar & Jay. 

The cafe and bar will be open during the event for drinks and refreshments.
