Polypores, Burning Pyre & Public Footpath

Polypores is the alias of Lancashire producer Stephen J Buckley.  A consistent output over the last ten years has produced, amongst a prolific catalogue of self-released material, albums, 12s and 7 inches with the likes of Castles in Space, DiN and Feral Child.

Positioned on a continuum that might include Hiroshi Yoshimura, Harold Budd, Mort Garson and the BBC Natural History programming of the 1970s, for the Star & Shadow he’ll be shaping an idiosyncratic and playful world, an oblique soundtrack for speculative microbiologies and fantastical blooms.

Burning Pyre is Newcastle producer Chris Owen. Chris co-runs the Eastern Nurseries imprint and has a fine catalogue of releases with the likes of Opal Tapes, Perfect Aesthetics. Performing fresh off the release of his album, Imago, on Glasgow’s co:clear label he’ll be showcasing a luscious mix of dub inspired, modern classical electronica and emotive ambience.
