In 2003, guitarist Oren Ambarchi curated a unique series of television documentaries for SBS TV in Australia.

SUBSONICS was made on a budget of $1000 per episode, edited in iMovie, and traced an arc from the classical avant-garde of the '50s through experiments with analogue electronic sounds in the '60s, representatives of New Improvisation to today's laptop generation.

Unseen in Britain, we'll be showing all six twenty four minute episodes in one night.

The first part of the evening covers key figures such as Mulatta Records (Thai Elephant Orchestra), Sue Harding, Masonna, Sun Ra, Ai Yamamoto, Faust, Reynols, Scott Horscroft, John the Dog, Voicecrack, Jim Denley and Harry Partch.
