TV on the Big Screen returns to the Star and Shadow Cinema with another classic adventure from Doctor Who, this time featuring the Sixth Doctor, played by Colin Baker!
The Doctor and Peri arrive in nineteenth century England and discover that something sinister is unfolding amidst the turmoil of the Industrial Revolution.
Workers are behaving strangely, brilliant minds are disappearing, and two Time Lords are secretly manipulating events for their own ends. As the Doctor confronts his old enemy the Master, he must also contend with the ruthless and brilliant Rani, making her first appearance in Doctor Who.
THE MARK OF THE RANI holds a unique place in Doctor Who history. Set in the mining village of Killingworth, it remains the only televised Doctor Who story to be set in the North East of England, bringing the TARDIS to the region finally!
As always, the screening will be followed by a lively Doctor Who themed discussion. Dressing up as your favourite Doctor, companion or villain is very much encouraged.
Our pricing is based on trust and solidarity. Please choose the tier you can comfortably afford. Higher tier tickets help keep the cinema accessible for everyone.
