Field Lines Cartographer, Golden Shields & SL Walkinshaw

Field Lines Cartographer is prolific Lancaster based producer Mark Burford and over the course of ten years has plowed a steady line of releases on labels like Castles in Space, DiN & Quiet Details.  Blending analog modular synthesis with subtle field recordings and electronic textures he creates luxurious immersive sound worlds to get lost within.

Golden Shields is the collaborative project of Newcastle based producers Steve Legget and Suade Bergemann. Performing as Golden Shields Steve and Suade are long term residents of the Freerotation Festival in Wales. Steve has produced some exquisite releases over the last decade working with labels such as R&S, Claremont 56 and releasing the sublime 2017 Bathhouse LP on Firecracker. Suade is a veteran electronic musician with releases on a whole host of labels since the 1990s including his own Adapted Vinyl label and collaborations with Two Lone Swordsmen's Radioactive Man Keith Tenniswood and Polish Techno Producer Magda.

We're also very pleased to welcome Stuart Walkinshaw (SL Walkinshaw) back to the venue. Stu is a well known Tyneside musician and songwriter polymath; one half of free-form instrumentalists Ten Sticks amongst many outfits over the years. For the Star & Shadow he'll been performing his sublime solo work. Pharmaceutical grade, blissed-out reverie reconstructed from tape loop fragements, strings and found sounds.
