In May 2019 we held the 1st Shieldfield Community 5-A-Side Football Cup.
10 teams popped up on the day, a huge range in age and ability, and about 100 spectators came out to watch, some bearing cakes... it was a fantastic event and many people said:

"When are ye doing this again, cos it's been reet canny!"

So here it is, The 2nd Shieldfield Community Cup -  back by popular demand!

All ages, abilities and genders welcome - whether you’re a seasoned pro or excited novice.
If you don't want to play, but would like to support the event and the players just come down on the day.
You can cheer on your favourite team or support the event organisers with one of the many tasks - spectators and helpers very welcome!

And if you fancy showing off your baking skills  - The Forum Cafe are running a refreshments stall at the site and will be delighted to receive any donated cakes etc

The idea is to bring together the diverse range of people who live or work in the Shieldfield area - through the awesome power of kicking a ball about, plus a few post-match drinks, tea, grub and chat back at The Star & Shadow Cinema.

It's only football - it's not Life or Death!
