The Voice of Hind Rajab is a powerful drama inspired by real events, reconstructing the final hours of a young Palestinian girl trapped in a car during the genocide in Gaza. Told through fragmented phone calls and voice notes, the film unfolds in near real time, capturing fear, hope, and devastating helplessness. With restraint and without sensationalism, it centres Hind’s real voice — turning a child’s final pleas for help into a stark indictment of a world that listened, yet failed to act.
The film has been recognised for its minimalist approach and has received awards and jury commendations at international film festivals. The Voice of Hind Rajab has been screened at universities and community venues worldwide and is recognised as a significant work of testimonial cinema.
At the screening we will ask for donations to support family members of Gazan families in Newcastle whose loved ones remain trapped in Gaza and are in urgent need of assistance.
A short reflective discussion will follow the screening.
