A Pythonesque surreal space-time family-friendly adventure comedy by Terry Gilliam.

The movie follows Kevin, a child largely ignored by parents who are instead obsessed with buying the latest household gadget. Kevin by contrast, is fascinated by history.

His adventures begin one night when he is swept along from his room and taken through a hole in the fabric of space-time by an opportunist gang of thieves. They are intent on stealing fabled treasures from across time and space. Together their adventures explore a child-imagined history of the world and its treasures. Kevin is along for the ride and sets out to make the most of his adventures, but getting away with such thievery may not be straightforward for the gang.
